Psalm 8 Song: How Excellent Is Your Name
Psalm 8 awakens a feeling many people know: wonder at the vast sky alongside the intimate question of why one human life matters. “How Excellent Is Your Name” gives humility and dignity room to breathe, so look outward through the lyric, receive its sense of scale, and let Psalm 8 renew attention to creation.
A person can feel small before the universe and still sense a meaningful place within it. Psalm 8 reframes smallness as belonging rather than insignificance; when the refrain opens, notice how awe becomes gratitude and responsibility.

How Excellent Is Your Name Lyrics
Lord our Lord, how excellent is Your name
Throughout all the earth
Your glory fills the heavens
From the mouths of children
You ordained strength
To silence the enemy
and still the oppressor
When I consider Your heavens,
the work of Your fingers
The moon and the stars
You have set in their place
What is man that You are mindful of him
And the son of man
that You come to visit him
What is man
That You are mindful of him
What is man
You have made him
a little lower than the angels
You crowned him with glory
and with honour
You gave him dominion over the works of Your hands
You put all things
beneath his feet
All sheep and oxen,
the beasts of the field
The birds of the air and the fish of the sea
All that passes through
the paths of the seas
What is man
That You are mindful of him
My God and my All
Lord our Lord
How excellent is Your name
(How excellent is Your name)
My God and my All
My God and my All
Lord our Lord
How excellent is Your name
My God and my All
Oooooh
Lord our Lord
How excellent is Your name
My God and my All
Oooooh.
